With temps in the 50s and no plans for the day, I decided it was time to break the PC800 out of its winter slumber and explore some of the fun roads near my new home. Being half an hour further west, away from Boston, means instant access to good bike roads, including the one I live on.
The bike fired right up with just a bit of extra cranking. Didn’t even need to boost the battery. I topped off the oil, aired up the tires, and left my driveway on the bike for the first time since bringing it here. It was a short easy ride across the NH border and back but I enjoyed it. Definitely looking forward to more.

Cool (and literally). Cool air and you probably have curvy roads, so I’m jealous.
No season probs here (70s today). Out for burgers on my Buell.
Stay safe!

While yesterday wasnt my first ride this year, it was the first extended ride. Felt good.

Today was top down day #2 for the Miata! Nice break in weather for the northeast.

Meanwhile in Lousiana, someone fired up their lawn mower this morning. I guess he let the weeds get out of hand since I know that the grass isn’t growing yet.
I admit that I am seriously jealous of you. I look forward to getting a bike again.

1125CR. Was not a fan of the Harley powered ones. Instead I got the Rotax powered wheelie death machine version.

Thump thump thump. :) I know Harley did their motorcycle training courses with those. I don’t think I’ve seen too many on the road. Your upgrade should have been to the XB9X CityX or the XB12scg. I always wondered like those were like to ride. Heh.
I passed a CR in DFW going the opposite way once. I think we both about crapped ourselves in surprise. They only built 3099 of them.
I really like all the Buell models. Tough to see Buell and EBR fail. :/

I woudl have loved a XB9, but my dad had just gotten a BMW with ABS, and refused to let me get something Sans ABS
i might pick one up in a few years, but parts are already kinda meh, and i have to admit, the facebook groups (while a great help) are filled with assholes, IDK.

I would pay so many dollars for ABS, let alone the Bosch IMU system. Next bike I own will have all that, so I can’t blame your dad there.

I’m pretty sure bosch has a death grip on the motorcycle ABS market.

Nice old Honda. Love those things.
I ride an ST1300 in LA now. Used to live in Boston and ride a BMW /7 all year round.

Thanks! You’re brave. I live in the ‘burbs of Boston and have put away my PC800 for the past three months. We haven’t had much of a winter here, though, so I expect my riding season to start picking up slowly from this point on.

I am envious, my bike is in need of some major servicing, which I assumed I’d have plenty of time for before the riding season returned. Instead I’m wishing I’d done it last month so I could ride it this month.
